Biography

Short version:

Rumble plays rock'n'roll. Not the museum kind — the kind that moves rooms.

The trio (guitar, double bass, drums), based in Nancy, France, draws a line from 1950s rock'n'roll to today, picking up a wealth of influences along the way.

150+ shows to date — opening slots for Nico Duportal, Washington Dead Cats, Rhythm Sophie. Festival appearances — NJP, Blue Monday, Elsass Rock & Jive.

Two albums released on Productions de l'Impossible. A third, Longshot, recorded at Black Shack Recordings, due January 2027.

Long version:

Rumble has been playing rock'n'roll since 2011. No costumes, no museum glass — just a trio and original songs in English, delivered with the conviction that this music is very much alive. The band draws a direct line from 1950s rock'n'roll to the present, having gathered a broad range of influences along the way.

Rumble reformed in 2022 with a new drummer and hit the ground running: 100 shows since then, across France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg — opening slots for Nico Duportal, Washington Dead Cats and Rhythm Sophie, festival appearances at NJP, Blue Monday and Elsass Rock & Jive.

Two albums already in the world, both released on Productions de l'Impossible. Driftin' (2013): thirty minutes of nervous, direct mono rock'n'roll. White Tuxedo & Black Moustache (2014): a wider palette, brass, blues, and no shortage of energy.

Longshot, recorded at Black Shack Recordings in 2026, is a denser, more ambitious record — the result of two and a half years of writing, arranging and rehearsing. Still in English. Still original. Still rock'n'roll, and then some.

Before the hiatus, Rumble opened for Nico Duportal, Washington Dead Cats and Rhythm Sophie. Since reforming, the band has been touring Grand Est, Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne-Ardenne and Belgium — with appearances at NJP, Blue Monday and Elsass Rock & Jive. Germany: in progress.
